My girlfriend is probably my biggest advertiser. It’s true. She throws my name out to people, hands out my cards, and seemingly does more to promote my business than I do. So when two of her friends, Stacie and Robert, approached me about photographing their wedding for them, I was honored, but wasn’t overly shocked that they asked me about it. It wasn’t until I told my girlfriend about it and she said she had nothing to do with them asking me that I was both flattered and shocked. I have photographed quite a few friends weddings in the past, but it isn’t something I want my friends to feel obligated to ask me to do. Knowing that Stacie and Robert asked me because they wanted too meant quite a bit.
As for their wedding, well, it was quite wonderful! The ceremony and reception took place in the Westin Hotel over in Old Town Alexandria. If you’ve never been in a Westin, you should sometime! Great staff, great service, and a good looking venue! As luck would have it, we were the only wedding there that day, so we had the whole second floor to ourselves!
It was a relaxed wedding, which is always good. Everyone seemed to have a great time. If nothing else I know I did! With that, let’s get to the pictures shall we?
