Things needed for a successful December wedding:
Alright so maybe all of these things aren’t required for a great December wedding (especially the rain), but all of those things were present at the wedding of Sophia and Rob!
I met with Sophia many months ago when she inquired about my photography services. At this initial meeting, Rob happened to be absent. Upon inquiring, Sophia informed me that he was on duty, as he is a firefighter. I obviously thought this was pretty cool, and when she informed me later on that they would be riding in a firetruck from the ceremony to the reception, I thought this was even cooler! Throughout the wedding you could catch glimpses of the firefighting theme that clearly runs through both their lives. The biggest thing I saw though was that Sophia wasn’t just marrying into Rob’s family, she was also marrying into Rob’s firefighting family as well!
The wedding itself took place at a lovely church in Vienna. After some excellent pictures in front of their firetruck in the rain and wind, we headed on over to the Sheraton in Tyson’s Corner for the reception. Nothing was rushed. If people were stressed it wasn’t evident. Outside of the rain everything went smoothly and everyone seemed to have a great time!
This was my last wedding of 2014, and I can’t think of a better way to end my photography year! I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Thank you Sophia and Rob for allowing me to capture this moment for you! Here’s to many happy years!
