You are always supposed to be practicing your craft. I’ve had many photographers tell me to just keep shooting every day. They would tell me it doesn’t really matter what I photograph as long as I’m photographing something. Taking pictures of stuff is great. I find it relaxing usually to go out and just walk around a park and take pictures. They are never anything spectacular, but the point isn’t to be taking great pictures, it’s just to relax and play around.
Every now and then though I like to go out and mess around with taking portraits of people. When I go out and take pictures of a friend I’m more free to play around and try out different things than if I were with a client. When my friend Kristin asked me to take a couple of pictures of her, I decided this would be a great opportunity to go out and practice. Along with her sister Jenny, the three of us went down to Georgetown one evening to try our hands at night portraits. It was fun, and I think I got a few good pictures. Go ahead and look at our adventures below!

We had fun, and everyone got a couple of good pictures out of it so it was a win win! Thanks you two for letting me take pictures of you guys!
In totally unrelated news, I should start to have some wedding images coming in in the next week or so, so stay tuned!
