For the past three years I have volunteered to take pictures at the Light the Night event in Reston, put on by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The goal is quite simple; raise funds, awareness, and find a cure! All cancer sucks. Every type, rare or common. LLS is a great organization that is working towards a cure for this particular type of cancer (a type that claimed the life of my father), and I’ve felt compelled to support them. However, there are many other types of cancer and just as many organizations working towards their cures, so I encourage you to support one of them so that one day we can rid the world of this disease!
Below you’ll find some images I took from the evening, but if you’d like to find out more about LLS and what they do, you can head on over to www.lls.org.
