I believe I’ve said this before but I’ll go ahead and say it again; senior portraits are something I enjoy and rarely do! What makes it twice as nice is when it’s of someone from a family I’ve known for many years. I’ve been attending the same church for almost 15 years, and in those 15 years I’ve become the de facto photographer for many of the events that have gone on through the years. What I find so wonderful is I’ve had the privilege of seeing families grown, both in numbers and age.
I remember as a teenager and in college seeing the Hopkins family grow up and being in and out of their lives, so then to be given the privilege of photographing one of their daughters as she moves on to another stage of her life is one of those cool moments in the life of a photographer and friend.
As for the photographs themselves, we went out to a Claude Moore Park, a local spot here, and wandered around for an hour and a half or so taking pictures at various places. Miss Hopkins, as you’ll see, is not camera shy and quite bubbly so it was exceedingly easy to work with her and get some great, natural shots!
I’m excited to show you all some recent work and even more excited to for the Hopkins family as they send another one out from the world of high school! Enjoy the pictures!
