In high school I ran for a position in the student council association (SCA). At my school if you found yourself on the SCA it meant having a full class period dedicated to it. Well I ran for Historian, whose job it was to photograph everything we did that year (the start of my photography career!), and I won! When I got to class that first day I found that most people already had their groups of friends and were sitting accordingly. So, being one of the new people, I sat down at the table with the other new people. Sitting at that table were two girls, Annie and Cathryn.
Fast forward 8 years and I’m photographing Cathryn’s wedding!
Truth be told Cathryn and I didn’t keep up all that much through and after college. The only reason she contacted me was due to my chance run in with Annie! Small world right? Annie got in touch with me out of the blue about something entirely unrelated, then told Cathryn that I was doing photography, and Cathryn just so happened to be looking for a photographer for her wedding. One thing led to another and here we are!
The wedding day itself was quite wonderful. The ceremony took place in a small but quaint church called Our Lady Queen of Peace, and the reception was held at Old Town Hall in Fairfax. The day didn’t start off as planned (our couples apartment was flooded at 6 am because the sprinkler system went off), but this little mishap didn’t stop them from enjoying their big day! Everything else went off without a hitch, and I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed themselves! With that, lets get to the pictures!

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph your big day Cathryn and Michael! I wish you the very best in everything that lies ahead of you guys! Here’s to many happy years!!
