Well I can honestly say life has been nuts. From storms that knock out power for hundreds of thousands of people for a week to weddings in Chesapeake VA and unexpected car repairs, I’ve had my plate pretty fully. All of that makes days like the 4th of July even sweeter. I went down to my girlfriends river house and just…chilled. I took my camera down and messed around a bit, but I mostly just enjoyed the scenery and the fact that we did nothing.
I thought I’d share my 4th of July with you through pictures. You may be asking, “Why no fireworks?” My response, rain. Nevertheless it was a fantastic day (and I’m sure you’ve already had your fill of fireworks and/or pictures of fireworks by this point). I hope my pictures convey the atmosphere of my holiday, and maybe yours too!

Looking ahead I got some family portraits to share with you guys next week along with some fantastic images from the wedding down in Chesapeake. I also have another wedding coming up next week, so I’ll hopefully be posting some stuff more frequently. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are keeping cool in this heat!
